History From the Chicago Park District
Named for world-acclaimed Austrian composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791), based on a popular vote of local school children.Mozart Park was designated and built around 1915. The fieldhouse was designed by Albert A. Schwartz, who also built nearby Hermosa Park. In the mid 1960s, the fieldhouse was replaces, and again in the 21st century. More info >
