Kolmar Avenue - Green Belt

The Kolmar Avenue green space starts Diversey at 2800 North to Belmont at 3200 North. It is very much like nearby Wrightwood Avenue, and similar Logan and Kedzie Boulevard on a smaller scale. The playground to Barry Elementary borders this 2 lane street with green belt separating the northbound and southbound streets. It is a calming grassy area with mature trees to reduce traffic noise for residents, and offer shade areas for larger picnics just outside the residents' front door.

Kolmar's original street name was 50th Street, but was renamed in the early 20th century after a German town.
